my picture book, Blue was published by Faber & Faber in January 2023.
I'm an author / illustrator based near Cambridge, England. I have a background in marketing and publishing but my real love is storytelling through words and pictures.
I felt instinctively drawn to creating picture books after attending a Children's Book Illustration summer school in 2015. I'm now half way through a part-time MA in Children's Book illustration at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
In 2019 I was chosen as the winner of the Faber & Faber / Andlyn Fab Prize for Illustration with my picture book Megan's Cat. You can read all about it here.
I write stories for young children (ages 4 - 12) that talk about emotions in a way that's accessible, inclusive and engaging, reflecting a child's real-life experience of the world and my love of anything with paws.
alongside my children's book work, I also volunteer for EmpathyLab - an organisation who work with schools, libraries, parents and carers to build empathy skills in children through reading .
If you'd like to discuss my work or talk to me about a commission please get in touch.
