About Me

I'm a freelance illustrator based near Cambridge, England. I have a background in marketing and publishing but my real love is storytelling through words and pictures.

I felt instinctively drawn to creating picture books after attending a Children's Book Illustration summer school in 2015. I'm now part way through an MA in Children's Book illustration at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, which I'm studying part-time.

In 2019 I was chosen as the winner of the Faber & Faber / Andlyn Fab Prize for Illustration with my picture book 'Megan's Cat'. You can read all about it here.

I write stories for young children (ages 4 - 12) that talk about emotions in a way that's accessible, inclusive and engaging, reflecting a child's real-life experience of the world and my love of anything with paws.

Alongside developing new picture book ideas, I'm also taking commissions for illustration projects. If you'd like to discuss my work or talk to me about a commission please get in touch.
